There’s Always Something You Can Do About Stress

Deadlines. Readings. Work submissions. Backlogs. Relationships. Issues. These are just some of the things that may bring stress in our lives especially if we fail to manage them. Sometimes, we get obsessed with our responsibilities to the point that we make ourselves believe that we are incapable of achieving them. Well, the good news is that there is always something we can do about it. We have the capability to change “I am stressed” days to “I am absolutely happy and carefree” days.

Below are some of the things that I do whenever I feel that there’s too much negative energy in my life:

Enjoy Good Food with Great Friends

There’s nothing quite like sitting around with friends, having great conversations over a delicious meal, paired with wine or craft beer. This is my favorite stress-reliever. Who doesn’t love having quality time with the ones you love over great dishes? Even if I have a hectic schedule at school, I still make it to a point to meet up with my friends and catch up with the latest happenings in our lives. Saturday nights are usually booked for dinner dates and drinking sprees with them!

Retail Therapy Without Actually Going to Shops

This is one of my favorite forms of taking all my stressors away. Nothing beats shopping online at the convenience of my own home. For someone like me who barely have enough time for work and school, the existence of online shopping sites like Zalora is such a great thing! And guess what? Zalora now has a mobile application which makes everything easier and more fun. One of the reasons why I love shopping at Zalora is the fact that there are many fashionable brands there that sell their items at discounted prices. With their new application, exclusive deals and promos are already within my reach.


Movies While on the Treadmill

Despite all the overwhelming happenings in my life, I still make it a point to follow my healthy lifestyle which started last February 2015. I try my best to be good at multi-tasking so every time I do my morning runs, I always have new movies or TV series to watch. It feels good to be able to hit two birds with one stone. First, I am able to keep up with my runs. Second, I get to enjoy my favorite chick flicks and classic films. The best part of all? I can do them both within an hour.

Pleasure Reading Whenever I Can
"Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light." This is so true. I love reading new books that allow me to relate to the characters and their stories. If you are a follower of this blog, you are probably aware that I'm the type of reader who never gets tired of quoting almost everything from the novels I read. In fact, a new page in my site is called "Books and Coffee" but it still needs some update. 

Let Loose
Did you know that most of the stress comes from the way we look at things? Once we let go of our obsession in having a perfect moment or circumstance, we start to become carefree. This is the reason why I do not put too much pressure on myself. I allow things to happen the way they should and in case plans don't work out the way I wanted them to, I just look at the brighter side of the situation. I believe that better things will come my way. Again, the world is a happier place to be if you know how to live by the principles of the law of attraction. Remember three things: Ask, Believe, and Receive.
