My Love From Another Star: Not Your Ordinary "Kilig" Love Story

Have you experienced getting sleepless nights just to finish watching a newly found TV series? It happens that your friend gave you a copy of a Korean television series, you started watching it, got hooked on the characters' stories and before you knew it, you can't stop watching every episode... So in less than three days, you've seen the entire series. That's the story of my life for the past 72 hours. To be honest, I was not expecting that My Love From Another Star would catch my attention. Just when I least expected it, I fell in love with the characters of Cheong Song Yi and Doo Min Joon.

If you are a constant visitor of my blog, you are well aware that I'm not a big fan of korean tv series. Don't get me wrong. It's not that I don't like them but because I find it weird reading the subtitle while hearing the actors speak their native language. Yes, it sure does require some effort to watch this kind of series. One blink and I might miss an important line from the characters. I believe that My Love From Another Star is the exception.

This series is about an alien who landed on Earth in the Joseon Dynasty (ancient time in Korea). Do Min Joon was not able to go back to his planet so he had to live on Earth and wait for "the comet" to come back after 400 years. During the modern era, when he only had three months left on the planet, he met a famous celebrity in the name of Cheong Song Yi. They are the complete opposite of one other. Do Min Joon is a silent, decent and reserved man while Cheong Song Yi is a loud, arrogant and confident woman.

Maybe This Time: Waiting For This Magic Moment

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you are still planning to watch the movie within the next few weeks. Thank you!

The lyrics of the song goes "And even time hasn't cooled the flame, it's burnin' even brighter than it did before. It got another chance, and if they take it... Maybe this time, it'll be lovin' they'll find. Maybe now they can be more than just friends. She's back in his life and it feels so right. Maybe this time, love won't end." We have experienced or know someone who have gone through the pain of losing the right love just because it was not yet the right time. Some people call it the right love at the wrong time. In this situation, two lovers are bound to take different paths away from each other. Not even their love can make them stay and no matter how hard they try to be together, they just can't. They have no choice but to patiently wait for the right time or at least hope that it will come soon.

Spending Cold Summer Days at the City of Pines

Summer is the perfect season to rest, to have fun and to enjoy special moments without thinking of all school or work-related stuff. During this season, we are free (or at least have a license) to do whatever we want. We can go to the beach, go out of town, visit new places, experience new adventures or do any other fun activities. For our family, we have decided to spend summer 2014 and my mom's birthday celebration at the City of Pines. The days we spent at Baguio were truly amazing and meaningful. It felt good to go on vacation with the people I love at such a beautiful city.

Right after my dad arrived from Papua New Guinea, we directly headed to Baguio city. We had to take the bus in order to reach the place since my mom does not want to ride the van. We reached the city at around 5PM so we checked in at our hotel first and took our dinner. We toured around Baguio the next day and the first place we visited was the Kennon Road View.

Revenge Season 3 Finale: Was It Just A Dream?

Do not scroll down. Spoiler alert!

The people who will have an interest in reading this post are those who are caught up (and can't move on) from the season finale of Revenge. Viewers and fans, like me, have many questions about the deaths of certain characters, the unexpected turn out of events and the appearances of old faces. The number one question is "What happens next?"

We all know who died. The question is, "What will happen on the next season?"

The last three minutes of the season 3 finale brought so much thrill and suspense for everyone. Jack Porter was arrested for the abduction of Charlotte, Daniel Grayson is about to be framed for a girl's death, Condrad Grayson was stabbed by David Clarke (Yes. How did it happen? So DC was alive the whole time? Is he really a bad guy? Where did he go and what did he do?), Victoria was locked up in a mental institution and Emily Thorne (aka the real Amanda Clarke) was ready for another plan. (But what plan? Now that Aiden Matis is dead, what will happen to next?)

Overwhelming Happiness and Gratitude for My Birthday

"Gratitude" is probably the most-used word in my vocabulary. I always speak of it whenever I am with my friends, family and other special persons in my life. I also use it as a hashtag in almost all the photos I post in my social networking accounts. At the same time, "gratitude" is what I write about in my blog posts. The reason for this is because there are just so many things in my life that I am truly grateful of. Every single day, I find amazing circumstances, great experiences and lovely people to be thankful of. And this time, I am grateful for another year and chapter in my life. Two days ago, on May 8, 2014, I celebrated my birthday with the people who has always been there for me since the beginning of time and the same people who have shared their lives with me.

they are the charming gardeners
who make our souls blossom.” ― Marcel Proust

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Movie Lines

"What makes life valuable is that it doesn't last forever... What makes it precious is that it ends." This is my favorite quote from one of the major characters in the movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The said line was part of Gwen Stacy's speech during her graduation. As you all know, she is the love interest of Peter Parker aka spider-man. In this post, you will not be reading a review of the latest installment of The Amazing Spider-Man trilogy but rather another compilation of movie lines.
