Top Reasons Why You Should Start Cooking More From Scratch!

More people than ever are eating out rather than cooking meals at home. They are also buying ready meals which they can conveniently cook in the oven. But you need to start cooking more from scratch as it’s so rewarding and has many health benefits. Here are some of the top reasons why you should start cooking more from scratch.

Cooking is a great way to destress

One of the top reasons why you should start cooking more at home from scratch is that it’s a great way to destress. You will be concentrating on preparing the food so it will stop you from worrying about other problems. It’s really rewarding when you see the final product, and you will enjoy eating the food a lot more. You could also cook for your friends and enjoy a meal with them. I talked previously about how de-stressing it is to enjoy some great food with some friends.

Expect Something Big: Travel Around the Philippines With Locals

Philippines is such a beautiful country. Many people from different parts of the world look forward to visiting the Philippines while those who have already experienced travelling in the country's top tourist destinations would definitely love to come back. According to the Department of Tourism (DOT), around 4.68 million foreigners visited the country in 2013 which showed a 9.56% increase in foreign visitors arrival. The increase can be attributed to the various tourism campaigns launched by the DOT. The latest successful campaign launched by the DOT was "It's More Fun in the Philippines" which invites travelers around the world to explore the beauty of the country.

There are many fun things that one can do in the Philippines. One can enjoy extreme watersports or epic parties at Boracay Island. One can also choose to be one with nature by visiting Coron and exploring its natural beauty. A tourist can also go to Baguio city and see the old playground of the Americans in the 1900's. Ilocos Norte can also be a visitor's favorite for this province showcases the rich Filipino culture. The Enchanted River and Tinuy-an Falls in Surigao are perfect for a traveler who just wants to appreciate what nature has to offer. Indeed, it's more fun in the Philippines!

Project 365: Slicing Out a Moment and Freezing It Through Photographs

I can't believe how fast time flies! We've already spent six happy, gloomy, exciting, blessed and *insert any feeling* months of the year 2014. That means that we only have less than 180 days left before we welcome another year, perhaps a new chapter, in our lives...

On the 31st of December 2013, I shared about my bucketlist for 2014 among which were "3. Complete the photo-a-day project for the whole year" and "4. Create a new blog." So I'm publishing this new entry on my site to proudly announce that I have already created a new blog entitled "Life and Love in 365" for my photo-a-day project. It's a Tumblr blog where all my daily snapshots are uploaded. As of now, I am already on my 186th photo. Ever since I started doing Project 365, I begin to notice all the things going on with my everyday life. The said project allowed me to take notice of the small details and little things that truly matter. Indeed, “Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
