CJ on Trial: Convicted

Since I decided to enter law school, I became more interested with the Philippine government. This does not mean that I want to enter politics. Rather, I simply want to keep myself updated with the world that I might be "in" someday. At first, becoming a lawyer was my father's dream for her unica hija. As days pass by, I began to love the idea of studying law and eventually discovered that I am dreaming of the same thing. So, two weeks ago, I enrolled at Ateneo College of Law and from then on, I started reading the news and updating myself with certain current events. Well, maybe, this is my way of preparing myself for June 2012.

This morning, I checked Philippine Star's issue for the day. Before doing so, I knew that the headline would be about Corona. Yes, I was right. The impeachment trial was sensational. Everyone has been keeping an eye on the Senate and of the former Chief Justice Renato Corona (Impeached). Finally, this afternoon, the Senate gave its final verdict.

Finally, Aleph

Among the best authors in the book industry, my most favorite of all is Paulo Coehlo. I love how he writes and delivers his messages to all his readers. His books are not only published to earn some revenues but most importantly, to inspire many people. It's amazing how he can create a character that reminds every reader the beauty of life, love, faith, pain, waiting, patience and all other values needed for a fruitful living.

Eleven minutes - this is the last book of Paulo Coehlo that I have read almost a year ago. Since I started to become busy with my senior year in college, I stopped reading novels. Instead, I have chosen to invest my time studying academic lessons and completing requirements. I promised myself to grab Aleph, Paulo's latest book, after my graduation but eventually failed due to my early summer plans. Now that I only have two weeks left to make the most out of my vacation, I decided to fulfill my promise. Yesterday, I headed to the bookstore and bought this:

Every Breath U Take Movie Lines

Every Breath U Take is the latest movie released by Star Cinema. Last week, I had the chance to see it with my close friend and mom. In fact, I have written a quick review and plot details of the said film. Within the same post, I also embedded the official music video of the theme song used in the movie entitled Every Breathe You Take by Piolo Pascual. At the end of the post, I promised to publish the movie lines but failed to do so because of my hectic schedule. Now that the week is about to end, I finally had the time to blog about the quotes. See below.

"Ano ba yan. Di man lang marunong sumunod ng signs."

"So what kung hindi ako marunong sumunod ng signs?"

"Hindi naman ako nagmamadali noon, pero ngayon... Dahil sa isang sign."

Call Me Maybe: It's More Fun in the Philippines

If you constantly visit my Lifestyle blog, you know perfectly that I am one of the avid fans of Anne Curtis. Some of you may say that she's overrated and I don't have anything to say about it. What matters most to me is that I admire her beauty, coolness, intelligence and charm. There's more to Anne Curtis' looks. She doesn't only have a pretty face and a sexy figure but also a kind heart that touches the lives of many people. She is one of the influential persons who constantly remind me that dreams do come true as long as you hold on to it and believe that someday, things will begin to change for the better.

This post is not solely about my favorite star but also about her group of friends. They are considered as elites in the society for they come from well-known families and cameras follow them wherever they go. Who would have thought that these stars can create a sensational video?

From Left to Right: Liz Uy, Bea Soriano, Anne Curtis, Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson

Every Breath U Take

The latest film of Angelica Panganiban and Piolo Pascual premiered on the big screen last March 16, 2012. Before the said date, my mom and I already made plans of watching it. So, last Wednesday, we headed to Gaisano Mall Cinemas with my close friend. to see Star Cinema's newest romantic comedy film.

This movie deserves a standing ovation for painting smiles in the faces of its viewers. Everyone was laughing inside the Cinema 3 of GMall for the whole duration of the film (1 hour and 45 minutes). Every Breath U Take is truly exceptional. It's been a long time since I saw a locally produced romantic comedy film. For the previous months, Star Cinema was releasing true love story films which sometimes break the hearts of the viewers. This time, it's completely different.

Skin Care: Right Make Up Items

My friend and I went to a beauty clinic yesterday because we wanted to give ourselves a special treat. To be honest, it's been a long time since we did something like that. We have kept ourselves preoccupied with school activities and paper works for the previous months. This is the reason why we were not able to give ourselves what we truly deserve - a facial spa and diamond peel.

While we were at the clinic, we discussed some special beauty treatments and regimens with the doctors and their assistants. They said that we should learn how to choose the right makeup that will be perfect for our skin. It is a must that we read the labels first before using the cosmetics and beauty items. According to Eza, pimples and other blemishes are caused by skin irritations due to dirt or dust and improper usage of makeups.

Happy and Okay

For the past few days, people have been asking me if I'm okay. Some of them call me at night only to ask where I am and what I'm doing because they're afraid that I might be too depressed. Some also flood me with messages asking how I'm feeling at that specific moment. There are also some people who go to our house, look straight into my eyes and say " Are you really okay? Like a hundred percent okay?"

To be honest, their actions are driving me crazy. It feels like everything in my life is a mess and they want to fix it when in fact, I am having the best days of my exciting life. Every single day, I wake up with sincere happiness deep in my heart. I feel grateful for another morning given to me because I have another twenty four hours to make myself happy and to inspire others. Every night, I would go to sleep with a smile on my face because of the great things that happened on the same day. Yes, there are no dull and depressing moments. Why should there be?

I Believe...

I believe that life is full of beautiful things to be thankful of.
I believe that everyone is capable of surprising me in ways I couldn't imagine.
I believe that all the things happening in my life right now are part of God's plan for me.
I believe that sometimes, things could suddenly go wrong so I can learn how to fix them on my own.
I believe that I have the capacity to find solutions to all the problems and trials presented to me.
I believe that I am surrounded by great friends and family who will never leave my side.
I believe that there are persons who will stick with me when I need them most.
I believe that some of my friends can cause so much pain in my life but I also believe that I can forget their mistakes.
