The Best Person

If there's one person in this world who has made me who I am today, it is my father. He has been spending his life for me and our family. He prayed for me to come into his life and since the day his prayers were answered, he never stopped making great things happen in our lives. He always want the best for me, my brother and my mother. I must say, he is a 100% super dad. For me, he is a super hero. Everything he has done helped me in becoming a better person. All that I have right now, I owe to him.

People know me as a happy and jolly person. They always regard me as someone who is full of love. All those things, I've learned at home, I've learned from my father. Papa has shown me consistent love and care, that is why I am a loving person. I always speak of love for love runs in my life -- from my home, to school, and to other important places.

Because of all of those, I want to honor my father and offer this post for him. I love my dad so much! I want him to know how much he means to me and how grateful I am for having someone like him. Advance happy father's day to my Papa Albert. ☺

Dear Papa,
I love you so much. I thank you for devoting your life to me and our family. I thank you for always being there for me. I thank you for the endless love and care you have shown and taught me. You mean a lot to me -- more than you ever thought. I am grateful for having you as my father. As what I always tell you, you are the best dad in this world for me. You may be strict most of the time but I understand, I know you just want the best for me. Every great thing in my life right now comes from you and I want to talk you for it, Pa. Thanks for making my life better. Thank you for never giving up on me. I love you, Pa! I'll always be your little girl. That's a promise!

A picture of Homer in the moon. A simple screenshot showing how much a father can do for her daughter. It is amazing how a daugher, a son and a mother, can inspire fathers to be better in what they do.

To end my post, I want to greet all the fathers out there.

Inner Peace

Inner Peace

If you have seen Kung Fu Panda 2, then the movie would be the first thing to cross your mind the moment you read the first two words of my blog post. In the said movie, INNER PEACE has always been mentioned in every scenes and conversations of the characters. It was first mentioned by Shifu, Po's Kung Fu master. He said, "Anything is possible when you have inner peace."

So, what does inner peace mean? For me, it is a state where one feels mentally and spiritually stable. It is the feeling one haves when he understands completely what is happening to him and to the universe. An individual is said to have an inner peace when he knows who he is and why he is here. He is the one that have answers to the questions of his own mind and heart. He is the one that is not greatly affected by other people for he himself knows what is best for himself.

I want to share the conversation of Po and Lord Shen while talking about inner peace. This conversation is simple and yet, full of learnings. By simply sharing this to you, I know, you will have a good grasp of how inner peace is important to each and everyone of us.

Lord Shen: How did you find peace? I took away your parents, everything, I scarred you for life.
Po: See that’s the thing Shen, scars heal,
Lord Shen: No they don’t… wounds heal.
Panda: Oh yah… what do scars do? They fade I guess.
Lord Shen: I don’t care what scars do…
Panda: You should Shen. You got to let go of the stuff from past – because it just doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is what you choose to be now.

Let us all find the joys and pains of our hearts to make our lives better. Or should say, at its best. When we find the pains, let us let them go. When we find the joys, let us keep them. This way, we will find our own inner peace. :)

Po, the main protagonist, has found his inner peace. This is because he has the best gang and he has let the pains of the past go.

Just like Po, I have also found my own inner peace. Thanks to my family, friends and boyfriend. Everything in my life must be crazy but is the best. Anyway, I want to give special gratitude to Abdel for bringing me earlier at SM Cinema 6 to enjoy Kung Fu Panda 2 in 3D. It was a wonderful date! A perfect loving one ♥

Thank you also for my new Panda stuffed toy! A new sleeping buddy aside from the old ones given by Babe! I'm in love :))

Loser No More

I was touched by the contestants of Pinoy Biggest Loser. I didn't know that behind their big physiques are great pains and hurts they have been carrying all through out their lives. They may all look happy but the truth is, they are hurting. Obesity has affected them so much. Because of being really fat, most of them experienced embarrassments, failures, sufferings and fears. I felt like someone crushed by heart when I saw them cry over national television.

Most contestants start their confessions by saying, "Dahil mataba ako.."
♦ One of them is unhappy because she feels weak and worthless for not being able to give her husband a baby for quite long years. She was advised by her doctor to lose weight for a greater chance of bearing a child. It makes her feel like she does not deserve to be called a wife.
♦ Another one is in pain because he is embarrassed for not being able to bring a date (girl) every time he and his friends go for a night out. He wishes every single night that one day, he may bring someone special whenever he and his friends meet. When that day comes, he will be happiest.
♦ The other one is hurting because of losing his job due to obesity. According to him, in this world, physical appearance matters. Thus, for someone like him who looks fat and lazy, it is hard to look for a job. Men and women with better physiques are more appealing than those who are obese.
♦ There is also this girl who feels she is unloved because of her weight. As what she has said on the show, "Is love only for people with the perfect body?" Not being in a relationship hurts her but she has accepted the fact that as long as she is obese, she will never be loved by a lover.
♦ Another girl has also decided to shave off her hair so people won't be able to notice first her body but instead her hair. She always laughs about her weight but deep down inside, she is trying to deal with the pains and wishful thinkings.

At the end of the day, I appreciated ABS-CBN's show. Biggest Loser (Pinoy Edition) gives hopes and brings chances to the contestants. I look forward to seeing them change their lives. I wish them happiness. I know, one day, all their dreams will come true. All their pains and hurts will vanish. And most especially, their beliefs in their selves will be renewed. ☺
