Hunger, Starvation, Deprivation

I remember the time when I walked out from the breakfast table because I didn't like what was served. I thought to myself, "Nah. I don't wanna eat that. It doesn't taste good." My mother, the most understanding and patient person in the world, asked me on what I wanted to eat. So I told her that I want something else. She stood up and prepared my meal. On that morning, I had a cup of rice, slices of chicken nuggets and a cup of hot chocolate. I did enjoy my breakfast on that day.

It was a hot afternoon, I stepped out my room and headed to the refrigerator to find something to drink. I opened the door of the fridge and looked for my all-time favorite juice drink. I was dismayed when I didn't find what I was looking for. I called my mom and complained. She called the maid and asked her to make an orange juice instead. I went back to my room with a glass of juice in my hand but I was so pissed off.

Those were just some of the stupid things I did when I wasn't still aware of how blessed I am for being able to eat three times a day, to have merienda anytime I want to and to eat any food I crave for.

Thanks to the one incident that made me realize that I was so wrong and to my parents who taught me that I should be thankful that i am not one of:
- those street children who beg for food
- those persons who look for food in the garbage can
- those beggars who stay outside the churches
- those robbers who steal in order to have something to eat
- those badjao children who swim in deep waters to get the coins thrown by the insensitive persons who make fun of them
- those who sleep overnight with an empty stomach
- those babies who cry for they have no milk to drink
and the like..

In our little ways, we can help end hunger/starvation/deprivation..

all about myself..

I Am
missing someone at the moment.
(i wonder if he knows.)

I Want
to be completely happy.
(the problem is that i don't know what or who can make me absolutely happy..)

I Have
an upcoming debut party!
(10 days left.)

I Wish
i could be all myself for a day or two.
(i wish i could have a day or two without somebody looking for me, without a cellphone on my hand, without my laptop and without all the other material things.)

I Hate
mising him this way.
(this isn't right..)

I Fear
that i might end up with only myself at the end.
(reduntant? :D)

I Hear
the sad music playing in my head.

I Search
for the perfect love.
(define perfect.)

I Wonder
where i am going.
(i don't really know.)

I Regret
letting him go.
(why do regrets come to end?)

I Love
him but i guess, i love myself more.
(it should be that way. i could have another love but never another self.)

I Ache
because he's gone.
(God gives and takes. i can't do something about it.)

I Always
want to be happy.
(no one wants to be sad..)

I Usually
do things on my own.
(i'm talking about school papers and projects..)

I Am Not
(get to know me..)

I Dance
in front of the mirror.
(yes. it's one of the stupid things i do every morning.)

I Sing
in the bathroom.
(la la la. la la la..)

I Never
wanted to hurt somebody.
(i want everyone to be happy.)

I Cry
to let go of the pain.

I Lose
my temper at times.

I'm Confused
of what is happening.

I Need
someone to be with me.

I Should
be happy.
(always and forever.)

I Dream
to become a cpa-lawyer.
(i'm sure of dreaming to become a CPA. how about becoming a lawyer? hmmmn. i don't know. as of the moment, it's what my father dreams of.)

Five Ways To Save Money On Buying Digital Camera Accessories

You can very easily end up spending a lot of money on digital cameras and accessories. However, there are several things that you can do to save money. Below are some tips that will help you save money on digital cameras and accessories:

Shop Around And Compare Prices

It is wise to shop around before you make any purchase. You may think that you are getting a good deal on camera accessories in one store, but you may find out later that you can get the same things for half the price in another store. You should compare the prices of at least three stores before you buy any accessories.

Consider Purchasing On The Internet

If you cannot find a good deal on camera accessories in the store, then you should consider purchasing them on the Internet. Websites like eBay sell camera accessories for a fraction of the price that you will find in the store. Contrary to popular belief, eBay does not only sell used items. You may be able to get your camera accessories new for a decent price.

Consider Buying Used Camera Accessories

There are many used camera accessories that are just as nice as new ones. However, used camera accessories typically cost a lot less. That is why you may want to consider buying used camera accessories if you will be shopping online.

Negotiate The Prices

If you prefer to buy your camera accessories at the store, then you should consider negotiating the prices with the seller. You can say things like, “Are you offering any discounts today?” You can also say something like, “I would like to make that purchase, but it is a little bit too expensive.” You will be surprised at how many people will be willing to negotiate with you. Furthermore, you can negotiate with sellers if you are buying your camera accessories online.

Only Buy What You Really Need

Many people purchase accessories for their cameras that they do not really need. That is a huge waste of money. You should only buy the accessories that you need. This will not only help you save money, but it will also help you save time. There is no need for you to go from store to store looking for things that are unnecessary.
Many people end up spending more money on camera accessories than the camera itself. Fortunately, you can save money by shopping around, buying from the Internet, negotiating prices and only buying what you really need. You may also want to consider Snappit Digital Cameras and Accessories for your next camera purchase.

please dance SLOWLY.

Slow Dance

Have you ever watched kids

On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to the rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down,

Don’t dance too fast.

Time is short,

The music won’t last.

Do you run through each day

Or do you fly?

When you ask, “How are you?”

Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie in your bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through your head?

You’d better slow down,

Don’t dance too fast.

Time is short,

The music won’t last.

Ever told your child,

“We’ll do it tomorrow?”

And in your haste,

Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch

Let a good friendship die

‘Cause you never had time

To call and say, “Hi?”

You’d better show down,

Don’t dance too fast.

Time is short,

The music won’t last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere

You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through

your day,

It is like an unopened gift...

Thrown away.

Life is not a race,

Do take it slower.

Hear the music

Before the song is over.

a few years ago. hope it inspires you as what it did to me. : s m i l e :

super stressed?

i'm really bored so i decided to take a quiz on blogthings. the title of the quiz i took was "How Stressed Are You?" i chose the said quiz because i'm pretty aware that i'm experiencing lots of stressful things lately. i just want to know how high or low my stress level is..

the resukt:
Your Stress Level is: 33%
You are slightly prone to stress, but generally you keep it under control.
You know how to relax and take things as they come, even when your world seems to be falling apart.
Occasionally, you do let yourself get stressed out, but you snap out of it pretty quickly.

not bad. it's below 50%. LOL.
i'm super prone to stress but since i take it so lightly, i have the capacity to keep it under control. i know how to take things easy even if it's evident that everything around me is falling apart. it's all about mind set. i just set my mind into something good and the rest will fall into its places. all i do is take a deep breath, smile and act like nothing is wrong. do you call it "pretending"? if yes, then maybe my pretention is the reason why i am quite good at dealing with my stress. the more i pretend i'm okay, the more i feel that i'm really okay. :)

the "new" account.

yes, i have a new friendster account.

there are several reasons why i created a new one.. before i state the reasons, i just want to tell you this: i know friendster is so last year compared to facebook, multiply and any other community sites. but, i absolutely believe that it is still a must-have account. i can't just abandon it like what i do with my school papers. :D

the reasons behind the creation of my new FS account:

1. every time i click the link to my profile page, there is this site that automatically appears even if my page is not yet fully loaded. try to click this so you'll see it yourself.

2. in my old FS account, i only know a small percentage of my friends. i mean, i don't know (personally) majority of my connections.. i want to have a more private friendster account.

3. i think my old account is already loaded and i don't like some of the things i posted there. i could erase them but i wouldn't because i'm super lazy! LOL.

4.i want to have a new friendster blog. yes, i'm an active blogger at blogspot (The COFFEE CHIC) but most of my friends open my friendster account. so, i also need to have a blog here in FS.

5. i think it's time for a CHANGE!

note: i will not cancel my old friendster account because some of my friends still send me messages on the said account. hayy. if only the profile page didn't hae a problem, i wouldn't make a new one. grr.

2nd photo shoot.

i can't leave..

the top 5 things i always bring whenever i leave the house. .
(facebook application)

click image above to view full size

first on the list is my nokia e63 cellphone. of course, i wouldn't leave the house without my phone. it's primary use is for messaging. i use it to receive and send messages wherever i go (provided that there is a network signal). i also use the phone to take some pictures, to listen to music, to watch some videos, to look for some words in the dictionary, to save some documents using open office and (my favorite) to go online!

i will never leave the house without any cash (philippine peso)! i bet, you too. i don't have to explain why it's a must-have. it's understandable. :)

i always bring with me my digital camera not only because i'm vain but also because i love to capture some cute moments (especially now that it's summer). although my camera is not the latest model released by sony, still, it's able to give me good pictures.. (i hope i'll get a new cam on my birthday. :D)

whether it's school day or vacation day, i always have a pen in my bag. i really enjoy scribbling anything that comes into my mind. so, it's a must for me to have a pen, preferably g-tech pilot (black), inside my handy bag.

i'm the girly type of girl. i can't leave my room without a powder and a little blush-on on my face and a lip gloss on my lips. thus, i can't leave the house with-out a make-up kit (IMPORTANT: avon face powder, ever bilena blush on, l'oreal lipgloss, avon eye liner). hey! i'm not an avon lady. it's just that, as of the moment, i can't afford to get myself mac or clinique products. (again, i'm hoping to receive cosmetic products on my brithday..)

i'll add my journal as the top 6 on the list. it's where i scribble what comes into my mind and share my current feelings. :)

vanity on a monday.

below are the pictures taken during my pictorial at DIPS. i thank ogie (my one and only make-up artist) for making me feel pretty on the said photo shoot.

i feel so pretty with ogie - my one and only make-up artist.

thanks mom for taking this picture. :)

3 Reasons To Explore The Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea is one of those places that everyone seems to know the name, but not much else. But those who have been to see it will always want more. Because once you start to learn more about the Baltic Sea you'll quickly realise why it's such an interesting place to explore. Whether it's the scenary or the number of countries and cultures or even the languages, the Baltic Sea makes up for its lack of warmer climate. Here are 3 reasons why you should explore the Baltic Sea

Positioned in Northern Europe, the Baltic Sea is bordered by Sweden, Poland, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Lithuania, North Eastern Germany, Eastern Denmark as well as various smaller islands. The varying cultures, languages and countries are just a few of the reasons that make the Baltic Sea a place worth exploring.

Exploring the Baltic Sea is a chance to have a holiday of a lifetime and the best way to do that is with a cruise, as you will get to stop at many of these countries. Cruise1st for example offers great Baltic Sea cruises. Every day will be full of adventure and new activities. Following are just a few reasons why you should take the time out to explore the Baltic Sea.

The Varying Cultures

Visiting any country surrounding the Baltic Sea really gives you the opportunity to explore a different way of life. Whilst exploring the Baltic Sea you'll likely discover many cultures that challenge your current view of the world.

You may not have the time, or patience, to learn every language, but you'll likely pick up the basics. Learning new languages is not only alot of fun, it can also make for some interesting situations.

The Choice of Countries

However many countries you get to visit, you'll most definitely leave with memories that will last a lifetime. Every country has it's own way of life, local produce, fun activities. Wherever you visit, you'll definitely experience something you couldn't experience anywhere else in the world.

Wherever you travel in the world, however many beautiful landmarks you visit, it all comes down to one thing - the people you meet. And the friendships you make. Exploring the Baltic Sea means you're come into contact with various different people, from various different backgrounds, each one teaching you something new about the world.

"to all the boys i've loved before."

i just want to share a video i saw in youtube. it's entitled "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" Mayda De Vall. all the things she said in her speech was really great. there was a sound of bitterness on the part one but the part two was quite inspiring.

"To all the boys I've loved before. part one.
WE are not your mothers. You have been weaned from the breast of a woman for years yet you come to us wounded, and half filled with promises you can only keep half the time trying to suck the loss sense of self-dry, WE have become much too accustomed to sleepless nights and damp pillows, have become much too accustomed to waiting for our empty beds to be weighed down with the bodies of men heavy with a set and a hands of other women and

We, simply wanting to be loved, and to love ourselves unconditionally, Simply wanting the truth of whether you can really love us, or not to play, play scarlet letters in our chest; become adulteresses cheating ourselves out of what we truly deserve, willing to settle for less, willing to act like a little less than a goddess, willing to sleep with the enemy. Men too scared to stop acting like boys, thinking we can love away their scars, so we take the lashes of the insecurities they pour in us and lick our wounds in quiet mourning for the little girls that we lose by the minute.

Part two.
You've said you have a photographic memory.
But apparently, you forgot that honesty begins by being real with yourself and the ones you claim you love. The truth, cannot be hidden. what's clouded and darkness will always come to light, my love, you should have known that claiming you saw my light so clearly and brightly. I guess shit happens. I just wish it wasn't me. AND I guess, it's so much better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, I know that's some easy shit to say but i'm still gonna try to live by it, I'm still gonna try to put my faith to rest in it;

I will sleep on dry pillows now, in a bed big enough to love myself in, I will awake with these coming mornings with my eyes dry and shining full of the knowledge. I am priceless and worth nothing but honesty. I will remove the scarlet letters from my chest and take the hand of the little girl I used to be and say I'm sorry to her, I'm sorry for cheating you out of the joy YOU have always deserved. And I will wait, for a MAN to come along, that can give me the truth of how much he can really love me."

i'm back!

i'm back earlier than i expected. i thought i would consume two days just to get my subjects validated, my invitation cards to be printed and my give aways to be bought. luckily, it only took me half a day to get all those things done. all that is left for me to do is to get myself a green cocktail dress and i guess, i'll do it later. i'm not in the mood to shop.. actually, i'm not yet at home. i'm just here at netopia consuming the remaining time of what i paid. i don't usually go to internet cafes but since i have to email my dad urgently, i have no choice but to use other computers. :)

anyway, i just would like to post a countdown for my mom's birthday:

the woman who has been accompanying me since my first day in this world will be celebrating her 42nd birthday on april 26, 2009.. i owe many things to this very important woman in my life - my mom..

i'm so excited for her upcoming birthday 'cause i know she will be receiving the best gift my dad could give - his presence. yes, my dad will be coming home on the same day of my mom's birthday. GREAT! :)

i will be out of town to take good care of some things. i have to do many things and i'll try to do all of those in two to three days. the place i will be going to is not a remote area which means that wireless connections are available and i can go online if i really want to. but, i guess, i'll be really busy with those days. therefore, i will not be able to visit my online accounts and make or read some blog entries..

so, for now, good bye. :)
i'll be back soon.
just wish me luck to accomplish all the things i have to do.

anyway, i just want to share this cute picture. i love the blush on! :D
